About Us
Welcome to the SEND Resource Hub
Hello, and thank you for finding your way here.
I'm Claire, and I've built this space especially for you – parents, carers, and families navigating the SEND journey from childhood through to adulthood. I know this path isn't always straightforward, and preparing for adulthood can feel particularly overwhelming. That's exactly why I'm here to walk alongside you.
What I Bring to Your Journey
With over 20 years of experience across all areas of SEND, I can offer support in education transitions, EHCP processes, and the complex web of services and support systems. My particular passion is preparing for adulthood – helping families navigate those crucial years when thinking about independence, employment, further education, and adult services becomes central to planning.
But perhaps more importantly, I'm not just speaking from experience – I'm living this journey too.
As a parent of a young person with SEND, I currently manage my son's Education Otherwise Than At School (EOTAS) package, which I secured in 2023. This means I work regularly with professionals across Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Educational Tuition, and directly with Local Authorities. I understand the reality of coordinating support, advocating for your child, and navigating those difficult conversations because I'm doing it myself.
How I Can Support You
I offer personalised 1:1 services covering every aspect of the EHCP process – from initial applications through to annual reviews and appeals. My approach is practical, honest, and cuts through the jargon that can make things feel unnecessarily complicated. I particularly specialise in preparing for adulthood sections of EHCPs, helping families think through and secure the right support for this crucial transition.
To deepen my knowledge, I've completed legal training (Levels 1, 2, and 3) with IPSEA and am currently pursuing a postgraduate qualification in Neurodiversity. This combination of professional development, hands-on experience, and personal insight allows me to offer support that's both expert and genuinely understood.
Throughout the year, I release training and support opportunities designed specifically for parents and carers. These sessions focus on real-world challenges and practical solutions, sharing both professional insights and the kind of honest experiences that only come from being in your shoes.
Moving Forward Together
I believe every young person deserves the chance to reach their full potential, and every family deserves support on that journey. Whether you're just starting out with SEND processes or you've been navigating this world for years, you're welcome here.
You're not alone in this – and I'm here to help make the path a little clearer, a little easier, and a lot less isolating.
